Meet Carolyn Burrell, a new volunteer to Second Chance Center for Animals and a dedicated member of our Board of Directors. Carolyn recently moved Flagstaff, Arizona from Statesboro, Georgia where she worked for Georgia Southern University and she volunteered for the local humane society.  Carolyn was the canine rescue coordinator for the Humane Society of Statesboro & Bulloch County and she also served as a board member for that organization.  Upon moving Flagstaff, she wanted to become involved in animal rescue right away. Carolyn and her husband Steve stopped by Second Chance Center for Animals for a tour shortly after their move and they were both instantly hooked on our vision to create a community where every pet has a home. In addition to leading the effort to improve the photography for our adoptable pets, after 8 months of volunteering, Carolyn is now heading up our volunteer communications. She considers every day working at Second Chance a joy and a privilege.

Thank you Carolyn, for everything you do for our homeless shelter pets and the humans that care for them. Our job just wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication by volunteers like you.
