On Sunday June 28, 2009, Second Chance Center for Animals will host the 3rd Annual Pets in the Pines, Northern Arizona’s largest annual adoption event for homeless animals. The event will take place at Wheeler Park in downtown Flagstaff from 9am to 3pm. Our goal is to have a record-breaking day, adopting 200-plus homeless animals in a combined effort with other community shelters and rescue groups.
Pets in the Pines is open to non-profit adoption agencies and rescue groups for homeless companion animals – dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and more. In addition to the animal groups, pet lovers will be entertained with demonstrations, live bands and the chance to enjoy education, behavior, craft, food and vendor booths.
