Foster Volunteers
Do you want to help ensure a “second chance” for an animal in need? If so, then becoming a foster-care provider may be the right fit for you. We often take in companion animals who need short-term recuperative care or an interim place to stay outside of the shelter environment. Some animals need a few days or weeks to recover from illness or surgery, or extra time to gain weight and build up their strength. Newborns who are not old enough to be spayed or neutered also need fostering – typically for 1 to 8 weeks.
As a foster-care volunteer, you can offer these animals the lifesaving care they need. And imagine the reward you will receive knowing you have played a special part in saving an animal’s life! For more information on fostering, please call Pete Notar, Volunteer Coordinator, @ (928) 714-2205, or E-Mail at pnotar@secondchancecenter.org.
